warning - replace back right liscense plate light

2005 E55 AMG; 2005 CLK 500 (sold)
warning - replace back right liscense plate light
I got a message on my dash stating that the right back license plate light is out and needs to be replaced. However when i checked to see if the light was actually out, it wasn't. Any ideas?

thanks for the help...ill prolly try switching them around. what weird is that i will get this warning, then it wont come on for over a week then it will come on again...........

if i change the plate to LEDs, ill just swap all the lights out for LEDs. no time right now. working on my window tint, wheels and suspension. This really plate light issue isnt that big of a deal, just annoying.
