My 2004 CLK320 is getting old with 160K KM. I did regular MB services up to 120K KM and ever since the warranty expired, I did not do any routine maintenance except oil change every 10K KM.
Recently I had to change one of the lower control arms (front). The mechanic looked around and said that I should change the 3 control arms (all front) and the tie rod. With the alignment, all these will cost about $2,000 CAN. My service adviser (my friend) suggested that I should replace these parts when I started to hear noises.
My question is for preventive maintenance, is there anything I should do for the car?

I recommend you create an Excel spreadsheet and take the services and service intervals from your Maintenance Manual and extend them to the mileage on your car and beyond. If you don't have your Maintenance Manual you can download one online. I couldn't find a Mercedes Maintenance Manual online in Kilometers or for Canadian cars specifically.
