Headliner Removal?

Has anyone here removed their headliner? any tips? or a how to?

I'm trying to remove the old headliner and replace it with suede, or a Alcantara like substitute.

Never done it.

From reading the WIS, it's a freeking nightmare - with about 30 steps altogether. You even have to remove some side panels, as they must overlap the headliner.

If you are really serious, I could put the relevant WIS pages onto a .pdf and post it here.

I am very serious about it. I would really appreciate it if you could post the PDF. Right now i'm trying to decide on either Alcantara or Old fashion Suede.

OK - here are the WIS pages for headliner removal.

At step 20, it refers to removal of the side panels (not sure why?) so that is included here also.

I would just take it to a upholsterey and tell them to glue it on and trim it and tuck it in.

originally i was going to do it all myself. but i called a few shops in town and found a place that has good reviews, they said 40 bucks to do a headliner ( not including materials) and 15 per sunshade.

so i'm probally just gonna take everything out at home strow it in the RAM and take it to that shop.

Why not just drive the car there and have them do it? Your making it sound complicated. Maybe im not understanding something here
