opinions needed please!

Hello,

I am new to this site and was looking for some opinions on the following.

I have a gloss black 2006 CLK 500. I am going to be putting all black wheels on this car the lip of the wheel being matte black and the center being gloss, but my questions is....

do you think it would look good if i made all the chrome trim on the car matte black to match the wheel lip? matte black trim, and badges ect?

All opinions are greatly appreciated. TY

I think some other guys have murked out their cars, but I don't think I've seen matte/gloss black combo wheels. What kind of wheels are you planning on doing this with?

I'm not sure how I feel about all matte black accents over gloss black. I'd have to see it first... Does photoshop have matte black on it's color palatte?

Will you really be able to tell if the trimming is matte or glossy? Maybe at certain angles you could notice but overall I think it would look black.

My personal preference would be to keep the trim chrome and keep the lip polished.

I think if you were going to put some sportier parts and accents like CF lips, spoilers, diffusers, whatever... it would look better with covering up the chrome trim.

But like Wes said, it's just going to look black. Haha.

I would go with glossy black to match the car. IMO those wheels look better on a mopar than a Mercedes. That's just my opinion

If you're going all black on the wheels I say go all the way and cover the trim (I guess I'm biased since I did it. lol) I wouldn't do a matte colored wheel, but more of a semi gloss.

Lol mopar. Well I'm just partial to this wheel. I think it looks good without being to outrageous. If I do end up getting this wheel I think to trim will be either matte black or semi gloss blk. If anyone can Photoshop that for ne real quick I'd appreciate it. I just think the combo of flat and gloss will look good with that wheel IMO. At least I think it will but I dunno.

My boy has an all black Nismo Z with some really nice Volks that are all matte black. It looks really good on his car, but I think it all depends on the wheel. With that wheel, I'd agree with Jon and opt to get it semi gloss/gloss black and match the trim. For whatever reason, I really don't like the solid center with polished lip on that style wheel.

I agree that the white looks terrible....the chrome and black or matte black might look better on a black CLK. Plus that white CLK needs a drop

Yeah Both those cars are nice. I think I'm going to black out all the chrome like jons car. Any idea how much blacking out the chrome like that would cost?

My opinion is thus: wheels are ugly. Sorry dude, but if you're gonna go for those, make sure you're installing 22's, have a really hot girlfriend, chrome teeth, and you're wearing a few chains around your neck. And it would help if you're a basketball player.

Just my 0.02$!

Yeah I was gonna put 20s on it. So if I'm black have chains Play basketball and have chrome teeth it will look good? That's a pretty bigotted opinion

Aha! I didn't say you had to be black! :P

I was trying to build an appropriate persona, my bad. I have a flair for the dramatic.

Sorry if I came across as rude, really wasn't my intention. I just didn't like them, I think for that money you could do way better.
