Any known issues clk350 sprayed oil in engine bay?
Clk350 sprayed oil all over the engine bay. Oil was everywhere. Any known typical causes with this engine series?
Had to leave the car to make it to work on time. Lucky enough this happened in a parking lot.

It's been 8k miles since the oil change. The oil spray was coming out of the oil filter top. Large o-ring was pushed out allowing oil to spray out. It was a non-oem oil filter brand.
O-Ring also looked dry rotted.
I've changed vw tdi engine oil filters and ml430 filters lots of times and never noticed or had an issue.

Did you changed the oilf yourself? There should be 4 o-ring change out everytime you change the oil filter. Some one got lazy and didn't changed out all the o-ring the last oil changed. If oil sprayed out like that, which meant the large o-ring didn't get changed out.
