Just want to show off my new cf grill with you guys and also in case if someone wonder how to take the chrome stripe off ...you can see from the pics. and hopefully I can put the grill back to the car tomorrow.

looking cool - i just painted my chrome parts satin black to match my wheels and left the rest of the fins in the original glossy black

it took 2hrs to prep the parts and has taken nearly 2 days to paint as i am doing it really slow so that the paint doesn't drip!

wrapping the trim is cool, but i think it will begin to peel off pretty soon especially if you wash your car a lot.

i was going to wrap mine until i saw how complicated wrapping the star would be!

I applied some heat (hair dryer lol) to the grill too so hopefully doesnt peel up easily.

 

Can you take a picture installed on your car? I painted mine satin black as well. But I drive on the highway a lot so some parts are chipped.

 

Post some pics when your done...I would like to see how that black looks against the silver...

Looks good, If you didn't tell me it was CF I don't think I could notice in that pic. It matches the lip

 

hey, why do you have your intake hoses wrapped in something

 

heat shield for cooler air. There is a thread about that if you search you'll see it.

Hmmmmm..... It seems like all of you... well most of you guys have V8.... will that wrap help on my 350 V6?

 

Let your engine runs for like 10 mins then open your hood then feel your intake tube you'll see .

off from ebay but that was a long time ago and I couldnt remember the seller in case you ask lolz. Finding cf now a day is not hard at all even our sponsor have that too.

Andy, Have you noticed any difference after wrapping your tubes? (That's what she said!)

 

I dont think anyone can feel it unless you have the tool to test the temp inside the tube like the guy did in the link I posted above but since its a cheap mod I did it anyway without thinking. Maybe I again 0.0001 hp ? its still better than nothing .
