CD player stuck
Hi -
could anyone please help me with this problem? The CD player is in the glove box (see picture)
http://i603.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/cdplayer.jpg
and since we bought the car 2 weeks ago the CD magazine has been stuck in the slot, as seen here.
Central console readout "No CD 1-6"
Can anyone please advise? If it entails removing the unit, basic instructions would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Brian

UPDATE:
Managed to get the magazine out by manually sliding the flat metal 'jig plate' to the right of the magazine slot. It is supposed to move easily, when you slide the plastic cover to the right, so I assume the difficulty in moving it signals lack of electricity supply to the motor.
I am going to try to get to the back of the unit tomorrow, and to do that I have to hook out the storage rack on the left (bent piece of plastic will do it, as it is a sliding fit), and then undo the torx screw.
Hopefully I will then be able to gain access to the connections at the back.
Getting quite exciting, isn't it?

So I got the unit out, and then unplugged the two connections. Plugged back in again after ten minutes, but still reads "no mag".
Maybe need to leave it unplugged for longer.

Well, good luck with that. I just called an audio shop, and because it has power but still the eject button doesn't work, and it doesn't recognise a CD, they think it's toast.
