Ready to order 04 CLK but !!!
I would really like to know the specs on the 04 V6 CLK. A while back it looked like the E and CLK's would have the 3.7L engine. In fact, I had information that made it seem that the decision had been made to use these engines. Now, I'm being told by my dealer that both the E and the CLK will continue with the 3.2.
This sounds like some unwise marketing decision by MB but so be it. On the other hand, I'm getting imputs that the DVD Nav will be available. Any up to date information on these items would really be appreciated.

BMW 330i
The dealer just wants to sell what he has in his dealership. Take anything that a dealer tells you with a grain of salt. I'm not sure if the 3.7 liter will be available, but one thing is for sure, the current 6 cylinder needs a bit more power to be competitive. There is too much of a Horsepower gap between the 6 and 8 cylinder engines. The AMG and 8 cylinder cars are among the fastest in their class. But the Standard models are among the slowest cars in their class.

I havent paid too much attention to the new engines that MB is developing, but from what I remember both the E and the CLK will be getting a 3.5 Liter V6, similar to that in the ML350 in the upcoming model years....when the change comes, whose to say?
Hope this helps

There is no 350 engine going into the E or CLK for the forseeable future. It may not even be in 2004, but in the model update the year after.
I was also in the same position but chose to order rather than wait around forever for the sake of an engine update.
