IPOD

Hey,

I just saw that there is an IPOD/IPHONE wire on my glove...
lol.. yah after about 5weeks of driving the car I just noticed it...

Pic is attached... now question:

I just tried plugging my ipod and ipod screen shows Mercedes-Benz blah blah...

the thing is that... how do I play music from my Ipod? lol.... I have pioneer system on my other cars/trucks... and when I plug my ipod I can change the source using the touchscreen console into Ipod....

how about for my MB?
I tried clicking radio, cd, cdc... phone numbers... call and end call... LOL(actually everything)... but nothing! radio still plays... cd still plays.. and cdc still plays...

BTW.. the wire is in glove compartment... and I cannot think of something else to make it work... and the wire is also tooooooooo short.... driver cannot hold the ipod... I think it is only for passenger.. where can I get an extension? lol

Alright mine is different since I have the navigation unit. Try to press and hold the CDC button until AUX appears

Yeah, just hold down the CDC button. And you can only control it via steering wheel controls.

I like the IPOD feature but dont really like that it only displays the song and artist (and does not always show the full song name )on the speedo

I just bought my 08 CLK 350 two weeks ago, and have not figured out the I pod completely yet. My service rep showed me that if you use the phone buttons on the steering wheel you can scroll through songs artist, and albums.
