BG springs offers a set of springs that lowers the car 1.6" all around...i am thinking about that...don't really like how HRs are lower in front...i had them on my last car...they are good springs tho...

http://www.autocarparts.com/part/960/Mercedes/CLK/

don't know if they offer them for 550s tho

The H&R's lower the rear 1.3" and that's pretty low already. You can be sure that a 1.6" drop with 19's will be rubbing in the back.

here you go some close up wheel photos and debadged rear shots. Dynomite, PM me your name and address so i can send you this silicone lubricant for the camber kit. I think this will help a ton with the issue if you are still interested in trying to work that KMAC kit.

hey salty, did you ever you have rubbing issues carrying ppl in the back?

i keep going back to thinking if i want coils but then i dont wanna deal with a camber kit and carry sub and occasional friends -_-

sigh. stuck between going crazy with the mods or being reasonable. rofl

Looks Good! You gotta post some side pics of the whole car. What size are your rear tires? They look huggggee!

I have never had anyone in my back seat since the mods but I think it might depending on how much weight I in back, how low you go, and how stiff the suspension is set at. With that said, at the current ride height and damper settings, andthe stretched tires, I could easily put some subs and an amp and be ok. If I had 265 tires I don't know if it would clear. Put my rears are also 10" wide so it may be fine with a 9.5in wide wheel. But if u have a system in and frequently carry people in the back I could foresee problems. But that's the beauty of coilovers, relitively easy adjustablity. I'm sure you know this but make sure you get a coilover where you can adjust damper along with height.

The rear tires are stretched 245/30. Fronts are 225/35. When I get the 255/30 on the rear it will look even bigger. Lol

they are very open.

i like it cuz it allows you do a lot of show stuff on the brakes. colors calipers, drilled/slotted rotors. if you do that, i think you car is going to look even better.
i also like the drop too lol

I would probably end up refinishing the wheels, stripping off the chrome and powder coating black. but that wont be for awhile if ever

yeah for sure! but im not sure how much that would cost. Plus I would still need to black out the chrome trim on the car, rear benz badge, and grille. i dunno im still trying to decide.

Not sure how much for the wheels but the badge and the grille should only cost a couple cans of paint. I'm getting the chrome trim done when I install the co's, I'll let you know how much it runs me. Altough you might even be able to DIY since it's black, silver is a little more difficult.
