Setting time with Euro command

I had Steve (MBenzNL) install a German Command in my 03 CLK 500. Prior to the installation, I was able to set the clock using the time menu in the speedometer Settings display screen.

Since we switched the clocks ahead in the US on Saturday, I went to change the time in my car on Sunday and noticed that this Settings menu is no longer there. I assumed this was because of the Command installation. I figured out how to set the time by clicking on the SYS button on the Command. But oddly, I was only able to change the minutes in something like 10 minute increments.

Does Command get any time information from the satellites or RDS? I was hoping that it would have adjusted the time automatically. What if I wanted to increment the minutes by something other than 10 ?

Hi Brian, As soon as the navigation screen in your dashcluster has been activated, the dashcluster will adopt time from the comand which receives the time throughout GPS signals.

In the SYS menu you can set the time per 30 minutes atime...
The comand does automatically swap from winter to summertime, but since there is no country selected when a euro comand is used in the US...it probably blocks this feature...

greetingz,
