I painted the OEM grille gloss black. I will take some pics when I get home. It's lying around the garage. I was thinking of painting it matte this weekend.

In the thread you posted it was mentioned about painting the chrome trim that surrounds the car. Anyone know the process? DIY or Professionally painted? I would like to do it just to black it out.

I was thinking of doing my chrome trim black but don't know if it will look good against silver. If I was going to go the black route I would DIY because you can't really mess up with the black. Since I decided on the trim matching the car I'm letting my mechanic take care of it.

blacked out grille ftw!! mine is semi glossy. i didnt want to make the grille TOO glossy...but it works out well. although if i could do it all over again, id color match it.
i have obsidian black, and i had the guy paint the grill just standard semi gloss black.
u CANT tell the difference unless the sunlight is direct on the car. then u see the shade difference..but other than that...

im color matching an extra replacement oem i had laying around in my room.. mars red inside on the slats then the trim all the way around and the tips of the slats matte black. should look pretty nice

uh...You should just get a can of matte black and paint the grille. The chrome strips aren't too hard to take off. It will look better
