If i remove my resonator would that give me a problem when i get a quad exhaust?

negative. it really has nothing to do with quad exhaust unless you are planning to run a y pipe from the beginning to end without a muffler. most likely, you will extend a pipe from one side of the exhaust tip to the other.

if you look at the classified section there is a member selling his carlson exhaust. just mimic the design with a magnaflow. rofl

no. i am recommending thats the way you should be looking to build your exhaust system. its up to you whether you want to remove your res or not.

as for me, i plan to run no exhaust just to see how it sounds. lol all about experimenting my friend. find whats right for your ears.

actually i am going with a magnaflow resonator and remove the exhaust. If i do not like that exhaust note, I will order a magnaflow muffler to muffle that note. i will probably extend a T-pipe on the muffler so i can go quad.

but this mod might have to wait a couple of weeks. too many things lined up for me as of mods. lol

as of now my exaust is leaking in 2 places it needs to be rewelded, my car is slow as ****, i ran the same car i beat last time now i could berally keep up! i am very dissapointed, once i fix the leaks i will re run that car again if my car still loses im installing middle resonator back on!
if that doesnt help im in stalling highflow cats instead of 2nd cats.
Im going to call oliver and find out if my problem can be tuned.

Maybe you should take it to an exhaust shop instead of letting your friend do the work.

a piece of the weld did not hold and leaking air and the middle part leaking where you tighten it with a wrench... my car is so slow right now it is not even funny! no torque what so ever.

i don't have a tune yet, 1st i need to fix the leaking issue and see if i am still slower than i was.

oh ok just remember that you cant beat the car that you run now and we will see if u can after tune. Im pretty sure you'll be able to.. May I ask what kind of car that u ran with ?

X5M when i was stock after 120 i would start to slowly pass it, now with the cats removed i could berally even stay behind him, i did have all open windows at 120 and had traction control on, but thats besides the point car feels so sluggish and no more that neck snapping torque. My MPG is all wrong, when i usually do races it goes down to 13mpg showing that my engine actually eat more gas, now it stays the same 19.4 mpg. so yeah looks like my ECU is all ****ing confused. Oliver said tune will compensate for the issue, i really hope it will.

well my friend that was supposed to fix my exhaust leak, broke his jaw last night with a craw bar and is not in the hospital getting surgery done... i guess i will buy liquid metal and cover up the leak and hope it dries fast and bonds.

well bad luck with my car all week, 1st SRS light, then fog light,l then oil filter, then exaust leak, and now a hole in my rear tire! wtf i never h ad this many problems with any car before.

Did you raced RIGHT after you took out the second cats (still have the resonator in place ?) ? or a few days later ? It is different... you have to let the ECU adapt whatever u changed. I remembered when I took all that out my car ran like sh**t at first but then a couple days later it was back to normal and of course with little sounds from the muffler. Please roll all your window up when u run with someone lol.

i fixed everything except the leak, and i already put 500 miles so my ecu is not adapting to the leacage.

well power loss thats 1, then lifted my car and found the leak, and i can also hear it.
