Ok. I'll give this a try. However, what is the tool I need to remove the screws? I appears to be a star shaped Allen wrench. Also, does simply disconnecting the headrest motor allow the headrest to come down? Thanks. I have read this thread but I can't find answers for these two questions.

Ok, we fixed my headrest problem. Finally bought the right touque bit to remove the back of the seat. Then we fiddled with the white bracket and headrest motor and were able to remove the whole assembly. We then put the headrest down and put the seat all the way back in order to remove the headrest. Put the motor and bracket back in place after a couple false tries where we missed that the two little hooks at the top had to snap back into place to the left. Replaced the headrest and snapped it back into the white cups (also after a few false tries). The motor still works fine. I think this is a programming issue which causes the headrest to go up instead of down when I put the seat forward to access the back seat. So far, I have not found anyone who has had the seat stuck forward because the headrest is jammed against the windshield. But the tips on this forum were the only reason we were able to fix this. Thank you.

No problem, its most likely a case of bad solder points on the connector for the motor. Have somebody with a bit of soldering experience read up on this post and he should be able to figure it out! And actually i had a uncle whose son had a CLK that he was driving and the headrest got stuck like yours but he didn't have the patience to try and solve the issue he just broke the headrest in 2 and brought the chair down haha

This has happened to my CLK320. Right now the headrest is jammed on the windscreen.
