hey guys. i just noticed that the updated model of the CLK has a 3 slat star grill. i looked at mine, it has 4 slats.

so my question is will the updated 07-08 3 slat fit into my 03 without modifications?

I do, but it's black....I am thinking about painting it again to maybe use for the winter...lol...Don't know if I wanna sell it.

 

how much would you think a good price for one is. i found one. its a black one as well which is the color i am looking for. i might cf it if i am not feeling it.

 

Couldn't tell you. If your going to wrap it you could get the reps on eBay for around $100. They aren't bad, the star alone costs $50...

 

wow. didnt think the star would be that expensive. i guess i'll take a stab in the dark for pricing and see if he bites.

you wrapped your chrome pieces correct?

 

lol, I was just going to ask about that. I know he wrapped them but I'm having trouble getting the chrome pieces off..I can't find that thread, a little help Andy.

 

i remember reading it too. i dont know how i missed the 3 slat from my 4 slat in the first place. lol. i dont think he put how he took the chrome pieces off. all he said was it was easy tho.

 

Ok it seems like somone already deleted that thread but I still have some pics on my computer. Taking the chrome pieces out is faily easy..when you take the grill out turn it to the back and all you will have to do is just slide them out one by one (looks at my pics below).
