First year of W209 in the US with AUX jack?
Hi All,
I was thinking of selling my W208 for a W209 due to the softer/more refined suspension driving around California's mediocre roads, and was wondering what was the first year W209's had auxiliary jacks standard in the US?
Were they only available on certain models with certain stereo systems (e.g. Navigation/Basic Radio), or did all models have them?
Also, I was wondering what, if any options were available to use iPod connectivity from third party vendors in the models which did not work with the Mercedes iPod connection kit. Which ones are the best?
I assume the any 2006 or newer models work with the iPod connection kit?
Thanks!

Also, I would like to have my iPod either available to me to use (e.g. in the armrest compartment) or available via steering wheel/audio unit controls if possible. Any suggestions appreciated!

I'm not sure about the years but If the car has a radio with a "cdc" button it will already have a aux jack or will have the connector for it.

If it an older model you can hack the tape player inputs and change them to RCA if your comfortable with a DIY.
