Control Arm Question

Whats up guys, I recently found out that my control arm bushings are bad. The arm looks fine its just that the large bushing is torn up. This might be a stupid question but I just wanted to know if I should replace the entire arm ? or just the bushing? Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks Guys

Mercedes won't sell you just the bushings. If you ever plan to lower your car, a smarter choice would be to go with k-Mac bushings. It allow you to fine tune cambers and casters plus the suspension will feel tighter due to harder bushings material.

Should I go OEM bushings or aftermarket? I know Klinh recommended the K-Mac, but are there any other brands that I should look into?

OT: You know of any exhaust shops around here? I just came from Mobile Sound and they wanted $600-$700 to do the work.

You know why toilet paper tears on the dotted line?

Because there's a dotted line!

Same with your original bushes, there are holes in the rubber to allow swivel movements, these eventually allow it to tear apart.

I think what K-Mac have done is very clever. There's more about it on the K-Mac website, www.k-mac.com and then click on search by make and then click on Mercedes Benz and look for the checklist on the right.

They've done away with the air holes, yet still maintained the ability to self-align without the weakness, and for the first time there's camber and caster adjustment as well.

Guys, I'm getting my control arms replaced soon, but I have a quick question for you guys. Is there anything I can do for the meantime to maybe make the car dive a little smoother. I have heard of people filling bushings with grease ? Maybe worth a shot?
