car value

hey guys just a question....

what do you think the value is of my CLK 500 with the mods if i sold it privately? it has 33k miles on it and its an '05. Mods are in my sig. prolly getting a nice bonus here at the end of the 4th qtr since we grew in a recession and might think about selling it and getting a C63. Id also consider turning it back to stock and part out my suspension and maybe the wheels. all opinions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

From experience, most bolt on mods do not increase the value of a car at all. In fact, I along with several other people I know search out cars to buy with no mods at all, virgin cars are usually driven softer. Considering your mods are just wheels and coils, I'd search out what other '05 500's are selling for then add 25% - 50% of the mod value to that. Everyone is going to haggle down from there anyways.

Congrats on the bonus, be cautious though, according to latest reports things could be taking another turn for the worse. If you part out & return to stock, send me a close up of your wheels.

Good luck!

thanks for the reply. i just figured someone might want it with the mods. if i do return it to stock ill get you pics of the wheels. i think i could get more value out of parting out the mods anyway. im gonna prolly refinish them this winter so they will be "like new". thanks again

well it really depends on the final numbers, i might just keep the car and put a down payment on a house instead. Kinda getting tired of renting this condo.
