Bilstein PSS9 questions

Hi Guys

I have a set of slightly used PSS9s shocks, springs and some parts and I'm trying to figure out what parts I'm missing before I go get them installed.

I know I need the adjustment wrenches, new self-locking nuts (2xM10, 2xM12), and one of the blue washers is missing.

I know I should reuse some of the existing mounting hardware. For rear, reuse the top rubber insulator. Also replace original spring pad with Bilstein part.

What about bushings, etc, any other parts I should have that are not in the pictures bellow or are not to be reused? I did not include the pics of the 4 springs I think I might want to replace the bolts and washers used for the lower insulators as they are a bit rusted but still solid.

Thanks for your help

Pic 1 pretty much showed everything minus the springs for the rear. And the front strut just need the spring and reuse all the factory parts from the upper mount plate. My only advice to you, have a 5mm spacers ready for the front. Depending how much you lower the front, you will need at least a 5mm spacer or the tire will hit the spring.

Great, thanks much. Good point about the spacers. I run 3mm spacers now on the front. Will need to get a set of 5mm then. Do you think adding 2mm in the front over what I run now and effectively reducing the length of the bolts by 2mm, will cause problems? The existing bolts are the correct length to fit my wheels with 3mm spacers (bolts sticking out ~ 5/8th just like OEM). I know I should have 6-7 turns while threading.

Wait I forgot that I have extra set of 5mm spacers but they do not have the lip to center the wheels. Are you using 5mm spacers on the front with or with out lip?
