Removing license plate lamp sockets?

Removing license plate lamp sockets?
I took out the interior trunk liner, and squeezed the license plate lamp sockets to push them out. However they are held also by a plastic panel that is attached to the lower trunk area. I unscrewed the bolts holding that piece, but does anyone know how to remove those white plastic pins that seem to hold that panel?
