Squeaking noise under hood CLK 350

Engine Performance problem
2006 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 62000 miles
There is a squealing noise under the hood that can be best described as a little bird chirping underneath. Its happening more and more frequently and now the noise sounds in faster intervals. Also I'm noticing that power is stagnant when I step on the gas. Please help.

Hey man welcome to the forum and sorry to hear about your problem.

Does this happen in a rainy day or smth? Any dash lights on? When was the last time you changed your oil?

Thanks for the welcome. It happens everyday no matter if it's raining or not. However its not as loud on warm days. No dash lights on. Oil changed few months ago.

Take a video and post it on youtube. It could be the belt tensioner or some other bearings.

To see if it noise caused from bearing or belt, spray WD-40 onto the belt both side. If the noise go away then it just the belt dry up and if the noise still there, then it the tensioner or the guide belt bearing.

Got the same issue, I called in for breakdown assistance and mechanic arrived at my home to inspect the car. He started off with running a diagnostics, unplugged the air mass sensor plug and reconnected it which made the engine warning light disappear. Now the mechanic said that it’s the issue with the Air Mass Sensor and he advised replacing the sensor will resolve the issue. Car has run 71000 miles and it’s 2006 V6 CLK350. Still not sure about the resolution provided, just have to wait until it’s replaced. Please let me know what you guys think?

I have also uploaded a video, I hope you all can view it.
