Nice! Can't wait to see pics.

Dragon did you see the thread with the part #'s for the AMG tips? You could get them through parts.com for around $120 each I believe. That's if you cant find them used on eBay or classifieds.

It not a double rolled tip like the real AMG (look like you can see throught it) and the welding on those tips are not factory like workmanship.

Andy

That explained it from an S-class because of the way the pipe bent downward. And because of the way the pipe bent downward, it also tell me that it not from a real s55 amg tips. The factory S55 amg tips are straight forward like on mine CL 55. Based on the pic, you can see throught the tip, it look to me that the previous owner were trying to make his S-class quad tips. Yes, all AMG muffler tips are double rolled to prevent heat from discolor the tips.

Nice! I see you went the DIY route. Looks like you have the same X-pipe as me. You will definitely like it. That garage looks huge, very good space to do some work.

Wait.......are those wee wee pads?

Thanks, I just put the finishing touches on it by sanding down the rough edges with the dremel and applying touch up paint. I hope that X-Pipe does the trick, I was pretty spoiled by my Eisenmann Race setup on my W203 that I don't want just any exhaust sound. Yeah, it's a good size garage, fits 3 cars side by side, but it's a tight squeeze, so my mom and dad get garage rights while my girlfriend and I have to park outside.

And yes, those are doggy pads...I figured it would be the easiest way to keep myself clean and dry, since there was water and snow dripping from the car.

Now, as far as the exact exhaust setup.

Route A: X-Pipe Only, No Muffler
Route B: Bubble Resonators and X-Pipe, No Muffler

Still haven't decided...

X-pipe and no muffler might be a bit loud. How about x-pipe and resonators, no muffler?

I can't decide either way. I might have them cut the muffler off, then take it for a quick spin to see how I like it.

Definitely try it out before you decide. I had my muffler off for a few days and that $h!t was loud, I could imagine a bigger engine.
