CLK 500 Horn Problem

I have a 2004 CLK 500 Cabriolet. Today the horn started honking nearly every time I make a turn. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, what is causing it....and more importantly, how much is it going to cost me to stop this embarrassing problem?

Sounds a whole lot like you have a loose or broken wire on one of the contacts. When you turn the wheel the wire makes contact with ground and closes the circut on the horn.

Could be wrong but from what you describe, this makes sense. Pull the center piece/airbag out and check the wires/contacts - could end up being a very simple fix that the dealer would charge a heap for.
