Im a looking to upgrade from a 350 to a 500/550 in the next 3 to 4 months. I have been all over the internet and found some good deals in the $25 to $30k range for 06-07.

Do all 550s have the keyless go feature with the push button ignition on shift knob? Or at least the push button ignition?(If keyless go is a diff package in itself)

Can i 100% verify with a VIN # or some kind of i.d. from pictures on internet if the car is not just some 350 with a slapped on 500/550 badging?

What are some tell tale signs that I can be able to tell if its legit 500/550?

The Keyless start are option (not standard) feature on all w209 models. You can totally tell between the 500/550 when open the hood. The 550 engine, the ECU (silver plate) mounted on the top of the engine and the 500 engine, just have the black cover.

Always run a VIN check/CARFAX report before you consider buying anything.

Thanks, I will certainly run car fax before. I just wanted to avoid running 4 or 5 diff reports to make sure car is legit if I'm buying from another state.

It looks like ill be spending about $1000 to ship car to my state,depending on where its coming from of course.

Also, I found a 2006 cl55 amg cabriolet for 23k. it does have amg badging, as well as wheels and the back seats in the car. Is there a best way to tell on amg if its legit? Similar to as posted above(silver plate) on 550
