My local dealer quoted me CAD$292 ($240 key/$52 insert), which I suppose isn't too bad considering the cost of shipping/duties/programming if I was to order one from the US. Still pretty expensive though!

the metal key retails for less than $10 US. they're trying to stroke you with
that initial, main Smartkey body price.
they don't need to "program" the thing for you at the dealer. what is involved
is to insert the key into the ignition and leave there for anywhere from few mins
up to hr or so for the handshaking to occur.
no, dont try to get it from US and shipped to UAE. the cars sold there uses
different frequency compared to those released for North American market.
the $69 dollar price was sweeeeet. lasted only for about 4-6 months. ended
when MBUSA realized that a loophole existed within their pricing structure and
they put a stop to it quick.....but not before i jumped into line to get one.

So i guess this key comes with the 2011 model right? Not 2010?
