Tires for '03 CLK500

Need to put new tires on '03 CLK500. Looking for rear tires that will give me the longest tread life, and not be ridiculously expensive. Any recommendations?

Hankook Evo V12s are the best bang for your buck IMO, but they are summer tires.

i've used a few sets of sumitomo htrz3. to me those are the best in that price range.i have the hankook evo's in the rear now but i'm not crazy about them.i would stay far away from general or kumho.

I have ran the General Exclaim UHP for a year now with no issues other than the usual wear. Summer use only.

Did you have a bad experience with them?

I disagreed with you guys about Hankook Evo V12s are the best bang for your buck. Let me do a real comparision with General Exclaim UHP. My conclusion, the General tire are the best bang for your bucks. I used the General and love the mileages I get out of it.
I got mine infos from Tirerack.com

Hankook
-265-30-19

Treadwear Rating: 280
Traction:AA Temp: A

General
-265-30-19

Not me. I thought the Generals were good as well. I don't know anything about the Hankooks one way or another.

I don't mean to hash anything else up. I was just wondering. Seems to me you guys have prolly done more mods then anyone in the W209 forum.

He does not like it everytime i gave an honest opinions about things like mods, cosmetic mods....etc. The last issue were about his brake calipers. I didn't think that it was beneficial that much or safe putting 4 pistons caliper on the front and back. The back should should be smaller to grip less then the front so that it won't cause the "lock up" under hard brake. I'm an honest as can be when it come to give an opinions on things. He even have issue with me when i talk negatives about my car. Anyway, i'm here at the dyno shop just waiting for my turn to get custom tune dyno.

Dude, give me a break. Don't try and mask your negative comments with honesty. My problem with you is that whenever you decide to come down off your high horse and post, you are very condescending. I don't think I have ever read a positive post from you, not even a backhanded compliment.

Lets put what you said about me aside, show me that you have had a positive or nice comment to say about anyone else on this board or their car. Your posts show how bitter you really are.

I know for a fact I'm not the only one here that feels like this!
