I just returned from Florida for 7 days and got in my CLK-500 and bingo, battery completely dead. My car has every option except distronic. I called Tele-Aid and 20 minutes later a brand new battery was installed in my car from one of the roadside assistance people. Great service, but why would a brand new car with 2800 miles have a battery go dead after sitting in my garage for 7 days?

 

Obvious question...was anything left on? radio overheadlight?

 

will you get free battery each time your battery is dead?
and do you have to subscribe to tele-aid to get the free batteries?

i think i will be travelling for quite a long time yearly(about 2-3 months)..so maybe i need about 4 new batteries(1 battery each year)...will they give just 1 free battery or as many as i need?

 

I tend not to use my CLK 240 for long periods of time. After a month once, it didn't start first time, but basically no problem with the battery after several weeks.
