Sometimes it gets really low, then sometimes it gets super loud and the sub will shut off. This happens even if I'm driving an even speed. WTF? HELP has any1 had this problem? what's the fix?

I feel your pain, Had the same problem for over a year b4 I figured out what was wrong.

you need to remove the bose " Audio Pilot" microphone from yuor car. it measures interior ambient sound and adjusts the sound level to compensate.

get your manual out and look in the section for " closing sunroof manually"
it'll give you instructions to remove the plastic cover containing the SOS button. once removed on the passesger side toward the front of the car about 2 inches in there is a small microphone. about the size of a quarter, disconnect it and your done.

i have a 2004 CLK 500. my car had it. I don't really have any options other than Xenon and sunroof.

I do run my subs pretty high. that might be why it "reacted" for me.

Thats a perfect location for the aftermarket HU hands-free mic to go. Thanks for the info Masters.
