Question on TSBs

Gents,
Just inquiring if the dealer are required to fix Techincal Service Bulettin (TSB) at no charge? I noticed several TSBs on my vehicles (not only in my mb...but also on my bmw and volvo) and wanted to know if anyone have any experience on how these get fixed by the dealer at no cost...even if the car has been out of warranty?

TIA

Where are you finding the TSBs, and which ones are you referring? I'm assuming that most of them would have been done during the car's regular service during the warranty period, so unless these are new TSBs which popped up AFTER expired warranties, they would have been addressed already?

This what I was told by GM a few years back; while the vehicle is under warranty all TSB will of course be covered, after that period only TSB that are in regards to safety equipment (sealbelts, airbags, etc) will be honored FOC for parts (labour not included)while those safety equipment parts are within the 'specified age range'. In other words, they don't really have to cover anything after the warranty is out. Same goes for just about anything manufactured with a warranty.

Yes, that's what i know that it may be corrected at no charge as long as vehicle under warranty? Since my car is out of warranty, when I go do the next service may want to just ask the service advisor...though this may be a "pie in the sky" since all stealership want your $$$$ everytime you get a car serviced...chaching....
