If your car came with an aux plug originally and has an added iPod kit the aux plug is jest removed from the hole and is still installed. If I remember rite your I pod cable in the right side of your glove box. Remove the dashes end panel (it is the same as the fuse box cover on the left side) jest pry it off. The plug may be secured or jest hanging in plane site and it should still work. You could jest drill another hole and mount it in next to the iPod wire and have both.

Yes, I have an factory ipod kit and was curious so I checked mine. There is a 3.55mm plug that is tied up behind the panel, However I think you would have to disconnect the ipod kit for it to work correct? I couldn't get anything to play from the aux port since it still is looking for an ipod when switching to aux mode on command unit.
