Wheel Offset E class wheels going on CLK
I have a 2003 clk 320 original wheels are Front- 16X7, offset 37, tires 205/55/16. Rear- 16X8, offset 32, tires 225/50/16.
I'm wanting to put on 2010 E350 4matic wheels. 18x8.5 front and rear with an offset of 30.
My question is..will these fit. I'm looking at 235/40/18 tires. My concern is wheel rub in the front, spacers that may be needed and the wheels sticking out too far.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. I have been looking for larger Mercedes rims for awhile but have always had issues with the front rubbing.

Is your car lowered? I am currently running 18x8.5 ET26 235/40 in the front and I rub a bit on the front plastic fender liner during sharp turns, but I am lowered on coilovers. I could barley notice it. You won't need spacers because of a low offset, it's the other way around. If you're not lowered, you shouldn't have a problem with the 235. If you're **** about rubbing go with a 225.
I have some pics in my album of the how flush the wheels sit. Yours won't stick out as far because of the higher ET.

The difference in the outer position of the front wheel will be 26mm (just about an inch) further than what I have now. That scares me a little when thinking about hitting large bumps and the potential to rub even with 225's.
In your experience this large amount that the wheel will stick out will not be an issue though? Or not a big issue?

I have never had an issue of rubbing while going over bumps. I posted a couple pics for comparison. The fronts are ET26 with a 235 tire. Your wheels will not stick out as far as mine and you won't be as low as me. If I don't have problems, I can't see how you will. I would recommend this combo to anyone.
