Are you using a relay harness? I had to use a relay with a 2.49 ohm 50W resistor wired on one side to keep it from pulsing the lights.

I have a problem. I have bought a 35w hid kit to install into my clk 500 fogs. And they won't work. I bought the error cancelor still won't work. Swaped the bulb and balast and still have flickering. Idk what to do. The fogs just keep flickering sometimes the left one shuts off for 1/2 a sec. =/

This shop in jersey. Good shop. Had other friends get HIDs from them and no problems. But theirs something up with my clk that keeps the bulb flickering. I'm also using a 36w relay(error cancelor). I just want um to work lol

I have an HIDextra kit and it works fine. A few members here use their kits also. Looks like you have tried all the combinations, it just sounds like the kit is bad.

Yeah I'll just get a hidExtra kit and have this shop install it for me. Idk how to do the hid fogs myself. The hidExtra comes with error eliminator? Or it's built in?

You have to let them know you need it when checking out. Put it in the 'notes'. They send them for free.

I have a relay(error eliminator) on one side and it works perfect and on the other side i also have a relay(error eliminator) but it flickers. But i was despreate and wanted to test something out so what i did was i kept the stock bulb on the side that flickers and installed the hid bulb. so i have 3 bulbs for my fogs. 2 HIDs and 1oem bulb the oem bulb is acting like a bootleg resistor so i'm thinking all i need is a 2.49ohm 50w resistor as stated in the above quote? this seem right?

I had a local hid vendor try every error canceler he had, none worked. Soldering resistor is what I did after someone here suggested. 2.49 ohm 50w resistor to gives computer a load, since relayed hids make the computer pulse the lights as a test. Computer is not detecting the required load of a 55w halogen bulb and thinks its burnt out or not there, but resistor essentially tricks the computer into thinking theres a halogen bulb. So you solder it across one h7 connector (whereever is most convenient, mine is on the passenger side) and the remaining side actually provides the power to the relay. Just want to make sure, only solder those wires that come with the hid kit, the ones with the spades at the end, nothing from factory wiring. You will get a bulb burnt out message for the side without the resistor, you could solder a resistor on both sides but I felt it was unnecessary and could live with one bulb out warning. They get really hot, so make sure it won't touch any other wires or plastic.

yeah this is what i thought too. i ordered the resistor but at the shop i went they didnt have a resistor on hand so they sort of used one of my OEM bulbs as a resistor lol. thanks for the help appreciate it.
I was wondering cant i just put metal piping around the stock OEM bulb thats acting like a resistor. Reason for metal piping is to block out the light from that bulb and metal doesnt metal. lol that'd be bootleg as hell though.
