yes, the ash tray did say AMG Black Series.
I don't have any plan to do the door trim.
Actually, I replaced them with the other kind of aluminum trim. The patterm of them look like a little bit like carbon. For the window switch cover, I replaced them with painted mat black aluminum trim. I really happy with what I got now.

I did a test fit today to make sure everything fits and to get an idea of how it looks. The double din is a bit wide. I am going to see if the install shop could do anything about it.

Yea, it should fit the faceilft CLKs. I do remember reading a few people who used that Scosche kit and had the same problem with it being a bit wide. I want to make it work. I will see what the install shop can do about it. I will keep you posted. Thanks for your help.

I actually have the plastic one also. Right now the car is in the shop getting motor work done. I don't know when I will get it back, but I will send you some pics when I can. My car is an 04, but I am doing the 06-09 conversion so it's correct. I would really like to avoid returning it. Once I have some more info, I will let you know.
If you take a look at the pic below, you will see that the top of the sides is a bit too wide. The bottom fits good, it's just the top sides that have the problem.

Edit: If all else fails, could I return the CF one and get the plastic one I have modified to fit and then send it to you to get it wrapped?

Hey Dyno, I have a quick question for you. Since you had originally the prefacelift climate control upgraded to the facelifted LED climate control, do the controls work individually?

his posts in this thread appear to be his last....I just read all 9 pages, and I kept thinking I would discover a "smoking gun" at some point. Great mod and post, BTW. Did you ever get the radio sorted out?

I don't think he was banned from a post in this thread. He has come back though under several different names.
I got the radio trim shaved to fit, but haven't gotten around to doing the audio install.

I found out about the Audio 20 sizes the hard way myself, when I tried to cram a 203 radio into my 209

I didn't think "shaving" would do the trick, as the screw holes wouldn't line up, and they're fixed

Did you put your old walnut steering wheel up for sale?
