got her dropped =)

like the title states. i just lowered her on vogtland spring (thanks wes!) and koni shocks.

the current problem i am having is that i hear a clicking noise when doing a fast u-turn going towards the left or fast left. i know when i make a slow u turn or turn left slowly, i dont get the noise.

i have a feeling it has something to do with the wheel because when driving straight, there isnt a clicking sound. the sound is as if its a click per rotation of the wheel.

i cant figure it out and drives me crazy. lol not to mention, i cant have fun

EDIT: also when driving around at about 30 mph, and doing a slight solemn, i hear a hissing sound from the right front wheel. any ideas guys? im worried about the car since its my daily lol

The tire might be catching on the fender/liner. What Koni's did you go with?

They may. When parked turn the wheel all the way and get someone to push down on the corner of the car, you'll see right away where the issues are. You got the yellow adjustables?

Maybe you are rubbing against the strut. Do you hear the clicking in the front or rear? All you did was swap springs/shocks? How dare you post this without pics?

How wide are the tires in the front? Is the sound coming from both front wheels?

8.5 up front. sounds like its coming from the front right only.

im about to order spacers...just to clear the front suspension, too close at full lock anyways. i have 35 offset. should i sit somewhat flush with 3mm or flush at 5mm

and the rears....full flush with 10mm spacer?

The front should sit flush with either spacer, but those won't be hub centric. Only the 10mm is hub centric.

You could use them, but you're taking a risk. I bought some 5mm spacers the first time around and my mechanic refused to install them. So I had to go with 10mm.

lol at 10mm, ima be hella flush

well turns out, i found this company called ichiba
product: http://www.ichibausa.com/5mmalwhsp10.html

its a 5mm hubcentric spacer.i will sit flush. but i dont have a choice at this point cuz i rub at full lock.
i called the company that supplied me my previous bolts, they said i have 12x1.5 tapered bolts at 27mm long. so should i look at getting 32mm bolts?

for the rears...at 10mm, i should be looking to get 37mm bolts as well correct?

If you need, I have some pics of how my AMG reps look with the 10mm. They are ET35 also.

Those spacer are not hub centric. The front spacers should have a cap on them that goes over the hub. It should look like this.

I recently bought some lugs for Kevwood from RPMNorth and, for aftermarket wheels on the CLK, you use 28mm front and 23mm in the rear. So if you want to use 10mm spacers, you would have to use 38mm front and 33 rear.

when i googled hubcentric spacers, all the pics done have a thing that goes over a hub but a ring that protrudes from the spacer. and i just took my lug from the rear, it measured around 27mm and the fronts use the same lug too. i dunno why but it does match up with what the sales rep said from powerwheelspro lol

The spacers with the ring are for the rear. I'll take a pic of my spacers in the morning to show you.

I used 10mm all around.

Edit: This is how the rear looked. Keep in mind I am running 235/265, not sure how wide your tires are.
