CLK200 K. supersprint exhaust?
hi guys
I had some push feeilng when I see your cars and started for some modifications.
I almost bought AMG bumper, LED taillights and AMG trunk spoiler. now I am on the edge, should I buy the SS exhaust. will it put some real power on my car? here is the link.

If I were going to be changing out an exhaust system on my car (and I in fact am) I would not be buying a complete set up like that, I would buy a good Magnaflow muffler (which I have), a nice set of tips (also have, remember that mufflers with tips on them most likely wont fit the car well) and have a local shop do the pipe work for me. A 23HP gain by changing the catalytic converter on a car that only makes 163HP is stretching it just a weeeeeeee bit...
The only way to make some extra power when you have a 200K (My wife has my old '05 C200K) is to go to the Kleemann website, order their power package, header and do a nice free flowing exhaust. I've done all the leg work on it already and the gains per dollar spent are in no way worth it, it takes the 163HP to 197HP (if memory serves me correctly), thats only 34 peak HP...
The car was made for good fuel economy and does that really really well, they were certainly not made for power mate. A nice AMG body kit, wheels and a nice exhaust system will be a great set up/look for your ride IMO. Other than that, subscribe to Wes's CLK32K thread - there is a way to get real power.

my car is also 184 hp (facelifted) and kleeman says that it will be 215 and if I put headers it also gives 15hp more. it means 230 hp and I think its quite enough for 1.8

All I get from your message is don't spent money on 200k ?

but is it going to worth it? the money for kleeman is really big amount I think.

You will spend all the money on the Kleeman upgrade only to match the power of a
320. Finding a 320 engine might be cheaper.

That would require some research. You should subscribe to the EPC, it's only $12/yr. You could compare the parts on both models and see if they are the same or not.

I'm not saying don't spend money on your car, I'm suggesting to spend money on the cosmetic mods where you will get the most bang for your buck. Money into performance mods might not be a wise decision as even after all the Kleemann mods and thousands of dollars spent it will still be slower than a CLK240 & 280...
Your car mate, just my opinions

Here is a link to MB's instructions for putting on a spoiler. You might also want to add a bead of silicone all around to keep dirt and stuff out.

Looks good, what's up with the fogs?
Edit: I just saw your post. Have you thought about the projector fogs?
