i have a feeling your front offset is 38 on those wheels. having had 35's on my car barely clearing and yours not clearing kind of signifies it. anything of 38 shouldn't ever be advertised to fit our cars. but in all honesty the reality of life and sales and marketing is ADVERTISE ASSUMPTIVELY. worst business practice around because of course it's hard to test fit every single rim on every single model, but when you're advertising and specializing in one specific car make you should have no problem rounding up the models for test fits. and really its one wheel generally, a front wheel. everyone knows big brakes are highly unlikely to take most wheels, so factory spec is fine. oh well, the business of making money can be a pita to deal with.

I can't remember Andy but I think Chris might be right, 38mm? When I pick the car up today I'll look at the specs on the box. I've had a million things going on for the last few months and my memory is taxed right now

i hear ya buddy but when u get a chance please keep us update on your rims specs so that in the future when im shopping for the wheels i know which one to pick with the right offset....I've had the same problem like your on my 320 wheels. The seller promised it will fits perfect on the car but when i pick them up and installed it ...looks like crap. The front sticking out and the rear sink in ![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Will do pal, should have the car back this afternoon. After they get the spacer and lugs all figured out is gets an alignment, then it's done for now.

As for the half moon, no, it's not ideal but as of now, it's the best option. Once I'm done with my BS bar project I should have a good template for others to copy if they want.

Here it is just dropped and put on the floor, the springs hadn't even set yet. Got it home now and it already looks quite a bit lower, the front end will dip a little more when the springs wear in;

I am VERY happy so far. The Koni's are awesome and can be easily adjusted, the wheels look better than I hoped for and the wheel offset ended up being fantastic with 10mm spacers all around. The sways are obvious, the car feels amazing in the corners and the brakes, well, they look good but need to break in.
I'll get some more pics in the next few days after it's got a few miles on it.

Looks like you will be having some spirited drives soon. I think my favorite mod will be that diffuser. That will set you apart from every other white 209. If anyone is deserving, it's you. You have definitely been through a lot. It's time to enjoy the fruits of your labor a bit.
Edit: The car looks great! I see it was in pretty good company also.

About the shop, must be real pleasure dealing with them. I would love to have something like that here in my country. Most of them don't even care about covering up the interior.
BTW, i've fallen in love with the gulf colored 430 Challenge.

We used to do the same in in the speedshop I managed in Canada, it's a simple trick that not only keeps the wheel clean but when customers see it for the first time they immediately know they are in a place that cares about their car.
Now that I look at the pic, and look at the car outside, the pic looks awful, it does the wheels no justice. Have to get a pic tomorrow when it's light out.

Enjoy it !!! Car looks amazing, the carbon fiber parts will make it even more exotic.

Yes, dealing with a shop like thiers is an absolute pleasure, you pay more but the service and workmanship is the reason why it's full of exotic cars all the time.
Thanks a lot!
I'll get some better pics tomorrow, I am very please thus far, the wheels work with the car better than I expected. After the roof and carbon accents get added it should be a nice little eye-catcher because of the black/white contrast.

Andy, my wheels are 19's, 8.5 front, 9.5 rear, offset is 35mm. With 10mm spacers all around they sit nice and clear the big 500 brakes. I am going back to the shop tomorrow to test fit a set of 20mm spacers on the rear just to have a look but I'll most likely stick with the 10mm's.

The wheels are 35mm offsett, with the spacers they are now 25mm. The fronts are so flush even chrislis would say "day-um!", the rears are fitted really nice too but like I mentioned above, I'm going to try a set of 20mm spacers just to have a look see.
Thanks for the comment too pal, the front lip will go on Feb 2nd, I'm having a few more things done on Feb 1st and one needs to be done before the lip gets fitted. As of now, I'm happy so far and loving that I'm a member of the 'CLK Single Fin Grill Club for Men'

That grill and the LED tails reall give the CLK a fresh look. I gotta get me some of those tails once I'm done everything on my plate. I think I'll get some shipped to my buddies place in Canada then bring them back to Dubai in my suitcase when I go through the US and Canada in May. I don't want to pay the CEO's wages at UPS again by shipping stuff to Dubai.
