MVI/Service package??

I bought my car from a broker 1,000 miles from my home. I wanted to confirm what options it had, so the broker had a contact at a MB dealer run the VIN. What I got was a printout called a "Master Vehicle Inquiry" (MVI) that says it is for internal use only. What got me curious is below the list of "option codes" is a separate table called "Service Packages." It has only one listed, called "SIRI A" that is good for three and a half years (expires October 2011) and has a 12 digit contract number. The only thing I can think that means is a sirius radio contract for that period. I note that the sirius radio does still work. Anybody know if that's what it means? 3.5 years seesm like an odd period of service for a contract for that.

The Germans work off the 'Oktoberfest Calendar', due to the time to prepare and then deal with the Oktoberfest hangover it consumes nearly 2 months per year, thus the 3.5 year service...
