some odd reason, most of the brabus ones are dimming out.

basically, for a test, i will be purchasing a couple of slim amber or orange LEDs. i need to find a way to test it on different resistors first. i was thinking about making a 12v battery pack from some costco AA batteries. it should give a similar constant 12v from a car so that i can test out resistors and such. that way i dont take it apart, put the LED in and watch it burn out instantly LOL

sorry for the thread jack. but kevwood, does that sound feasible? anything else i should try out.

He can make one without the emblem for sure

Man I didn't think of that. Black leather with red stitching would look freakin' awsome
It costs $129. The "customization" doesn't cost extra.
You should contact him.

I am trying to go with a red and black theme inside.
This is what i have done so far.

I will try to do the door wood trim in red too and see how it looks. If i dont like it i will go with black.

So the red and black shift know will help a lot.

thanks

His email is: ger.jones@comcast.net

I love the black/red theme. My friend has a 09 SLK 350 with black interior with red stitches on the steering wheel, gearknob and all red seatbelts.

I think you should keep most things black with som parts red. Like you have in the pics.
Change the door wood trim to red might be too much red?
Maybe you could go with black/CF trim with a small line of red in the middle accross?

I also want to change my wood trim to CF Like the 3rd pic of the console.
Looks great!

Yeah I know, but the whole part red on the door might be too much red.
I think you should go black on doors

i believe so too. I might do the Red top and black bottom or vice versa

if it looks weird ill just go all black definitely cant go wrong with that lol.

The reason i think red might blend in its because the door leather is black but who knows....

BTW: I'm really feeling that black/red theme. The more I look at the vinyl, the more I like it. Congrats, you did some great work.

Haha they used to cure our headaches with alcohol when we were kids. There is a big community in New York and Jersey which is pretty cool.

And the red & black theme is growing on me too right now. I am thinking to try and do the ashtray red as well...

Black CF and tan will look great IMO. Material is strong and stretches a lot. Cleaning is easy in vinyl. Damp cloth and dust and dirt is gone much easier than the wood trim.

If you need help on removing interior pieces let me know.
I bought this from MAcarbon

which really help a lot

EDIT: as soon as my e-mail said new reply from EuroTra$H i knew i had to get ready for getting flamed.

Lol we just experimenting haha. Red interior has been done before.

An AMG knob is like getting AMG rims on a 320 or an AMG spoiler.

the reason the red looks terrible is because of the wood grain. if you had black stained wood grain or just not wood grain, it would be okay. but if you did the whole center dash piece in red it would look like absolute cheese.
