Hey guys,
What do you think of this gear knob?![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Just bought it from Jerry over at formymercedes.com. A great guy!
It was special made to match my interior but there are also CF and wood version of this AMG gear knob.

It looks like it was well made, the stitching is very good.

I will reserve my opinion until I see it in the car. The emblem does seem a bit bulky like Chris says, but when installed in the car and seeing it from above I don't think you will notice as much. The stitching kind of reminds me of a baseball.

Top view, Chris is right, it looks bulky, but from the side it's quite flush. I'm going to stick with what I said for now and say it looks well made but Wes is right in saying, "let's see it in the car dude!!!" ![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
In the end, if you're happy mate, then it means it was a good purchase.

I think it looks better than my stock "elegance" oval shaped gear knob.
Appreciate your comment

yep it does. but it then looks like an autozone special haha. i like your leather knob and nice baseball esque stitching (like the audi tt first introduced). if it were without an emblem i would probably enjoy it more. the quality of the leather looks terrific.. then the emblem...

Autozone, Pep Boys, etc = Fast & Flamboyant garbage for the most part... I think they are outlawed in Sweden and other north European countries...

i did see that shift knob on formymercedes. i wanted to contact jerry to see if he could make one without the emblem. i wouldnt mind picking one of those in wood to match the interior wood.
for some reason the ball design makes it look more sporty. then again, i wanna take apart my brabus one too to get that LED working again!

You know, an LED should have a massive lifetime, something like 95,000 - 100,000 hours. The thing that kills them most often is an incorrect resistor, a LED will pull as much as it can till it burns out, keep it resisted and it'll last eons.

i like that congrats. Are they still taking orders for something like that? I would love a black leather with red stitching.
You mind me asking how much it ran you?
