Please some help with tail lamp,left from CLK 350 2006

Hi Guys,i really need Help,i got on my board computer error message:TAIL LAMP,LEFT and second message is SUBSTITUTE BULB ON!what is that means and where is the tail lamp?and how can i fix it?had some one experien with those problem?what should i do?thank you soo much for some advise!!

U go back to ur trunk and and take the liner out ... Take the bulbs out and replace the new one ??

i think the light is somewhere in your sunroof and to change it you have to stand through it while driving.

let me know how that works.

Give the guy a break. Check your tail lights for the defective bulbs.

You're asking where's the tail lamp? Now that's funny. I freaked out too when that was going on. You've got one of the two bottom lamps burned out. Go buy R5W and make sure the 2 bulbs are on when you brake. At least it's what I did.

Thank you so much all your replies,i was checked all the lamp is still working but sorry that i do not have experience with MB,i was check it out but really dont know where is the tail lamp is!this is 5 lamp on a plate!the #1 is on top P21W<2 is in the middle:left is yellow PY21W,right is P21W!2 is in bottom:left is P21/5W,right is P21/4W!!which one is this?and where is the lamp with R5W bulb?i cant find it!!i bought all the replacement bulb alrealdy but dont know to do it!!sorry to wasting all ur time!!thank you

it's probably the lamp that lights up when you pull your light switch out past the fog position and the orange bulb illuminates on the left of your wheel.

i also have this bulb out because well, i don't use it ever.

He's talking about the rear fog lamp. Have you taken the bulb socket out and checked all the bulbs? If you have all new bulbs why not just change them all if your not sure.

i think since i joined this forum,the MB can not take my money easy like before,i dont have much experience but i have learned a lot from u guy,and i did a lot of works on the car by my self!thank GUYS!!lol,CLK 350 is for my girlfriend,i bought her a brand new one and after 5 years just had 29.000km and the 63 is mine,but she liked the 63 more than her car,and she always took my baby away,the 350 is all time stay in garage,and now i think about to tune up her car to get my 63 back,maybe can u guy give me some advise what should i have to get to tune up the car like dyno and Clk boi?i was thinking about the DTM look with quad exhaust but i can not find it,even how much this cost?PS to Clk boi;on my daily i have another R8,but some time is boring,i like the 63 more!!i ll take the pics on this weekend all my collection car and post it on!!CHEER
