Had lots of fun last week here in Chicago. The winter tires are awesome and a huge improvement in all this snow. Did not have any issues other then once pulling out of the train station on Thursday after the big snowfall. There is a rather steep hill up and the cars were lined up so I had to stop in the bottom end of it. Once it was time to go the wheels just kept on spinning. The SUV behind me went around and I had room to backup a little and get a head start at the hill. turning front right and left helped to keep it going and made it up the hill. Then in front of the house the snow plower left about 6 inches high and 3 feet high wall at the end of the driveway in the morning. I backup in to the garage so in the morning I gunned it and was able to fly right threw it with no issue. But after work backing up I had no real speed and the car just hanged in the air Thats when I remembered to kill the ESP and turn on the W switch. Took a little trial back and forth to finally free the car. I'm still surprised it did so well in that snow.

Make sure you get winter tires, I have my mounted on the original rims and just rotate the wheels. Also the ESP is awesome. I keep on taking turns sideways letting the backend slip and the ESP kicks in and greatly helps with my effort to control the car. Perfect... so far I avoided falling off the road

Stay safe with all that snow and ice

Hahaha glad you enjoyed the snow. I am glad it's finally warmer and melting it. I already washed some of the cars when it was warmer out on Sunday.

This past weekend melted most of the snow over here. We are going to hit 60 this Friday!

I just made an appointment for the second week of May to get my car fully detailed and restore the paint.

Compound out light and heavy scratches
Machine glaze and hand wax
Steam clean wheels, door jams, and engine compartment
Shampoo carpets and seats
Treat vinyl and leather (Lexol)
Wash windows, inside and out
Dress moldings and tires
Clay entire vehicle

For $269 Sounds about right? What do you guys usually pay for a good detail? This guys promise to get %98 of the scratches out and take a whole day

I went through the car wash this morning before school and when the sun hit the paint all the swirls showed up.

You should have bought the Driven Perfection GroupOn, it was a $200 detail for $69.

$269 isn't bad. I was planning on spending more than that for my detail.

same here. Another place i asked quoted me on 450.00 and would do the same job as this guys. The 269 guys have been in business for 50 years and the 450 have been on for only 3 years.

For that price you could have bought a whole new set.

Don't know if this is attributed to the winter, but:
1. Passenger side HID fog light inop, faulty ballast
2. Passenger side D1S 6000k low-beam bulb going bad, pinkish
