My new (to me) 05 CLK 55 AMG
We had a baby recently and after a few months we decided to trade in my 2005 corvette (below) for a 2005 clk55 amg convertible. found it in LA at a dealership that had 2 so we picked the better one. it has most options. all the AMG goodies, navigation, and the aluminum interior. It needed new brake pads and rotors when we got it home so after a few phone calls to the dealer we got all new pads and rotors for free. (thankfully because the amg pads and rotors for this car costs like 3k). We love the car. down just a little bit on power from my corvette but i love the convertible, we can put the carseat behind my wife with the little one, and it is a TON more smooth and luxurious than the vette. the brakes on this car are insane. my understanding is that the 05 55's are one of the only years of the clk that have the huge 6 pot calipers in front and 4 pot in rear. this thing stops unbelievably fast. my father in law has a corvette zr1 with gigantic carbon ceramic brakes and this Mercedes stops just as fast.
So far i havent done too much to it. ive done the single fin front grill, smoked out front signal lights, LED city lights, and a 20% tint all around. Future plans include a real good polish to make the paint shine, im going to tint the tails leaving the white stripe alone, carbon front lip and rear diffuser, quad exhaust and some awesome wheels.

Looks like the previous owner already changed out the front grill to single fin one and the smoke side markers too or was it you ? Should have got the coupe so you can get the quad exhaust Lolz and welcome aboard

, im going to see about doing some creative piping to get a quad pipe to work.

06 was the introductory year of the tails. the single fin grille makes the car look longer and edgier but the gap between the top of it and the hood is enough to make me not buy it.

Great looking vert.... personally I think the pre face lifted tails are the best looking lights ever on a Benz... if only someone would produce that style in LED
