This evening I used the power window control on the driver's door panel on my '05 CLK cabrio, and it did not return to its rest position and became inoperable. Any suggestions what may have caused this and, more important, what is the fix? (BTW, the only way I was able to get the window to close was to put the top up, which as a matter of procedure, closed the window.) TIA.

 

Had something like that happen on my ML430. Took the switch out and bent a small tang back into place that was the culprit. It was temporary. switch broke 3 weeks later.
