Thanks James & Dyno. <------- Awww look when I say your names together like that you sound like a couple

New Zealand roads are for the most past, not kind in regards to bumps etc. Plus I live down a long driveway and at the top it is quite steep.

My first thread in the W209 section on these forums said that I bought the car with "V6 Kompressor" and "CLK 320" badges on it.Originally Posted by BadDebt

Believe me, removing all badges is on my list of things to do on the weekend. I feel like a tool with the BS badges on my car.
For some reason putting badges on a car is very popular in Japan (where the car was imported from), I think its mostly due to people trying to make people think their car is more expensive, e.g. CLK 320 compared to a CLK 240.
So yeah, I agree with you 100% lol.

That vinyl looks.. horrible. Looks like something kids do to their cars to go to car shows. Womp Womp Womp. You drive a Mercedes, cut it out.
Ps: sweet kompressor.

Hehe, no problem. I'm not sure if I like it myself yet. I've been stopping in front of literally every shop window I can to see the reflection and try to decide lol.Originally Posted by ahmadk

okay i'll rephrase what i said.
the vinyl makes the car look immature. you need at the very least a carbon fiber lip to try and tie it together, or at least an AMG bumper to do anything on. but, with the way the non-amg bumper wraps the front end together, it's not aggressive enough to modify. without the edgeyness and all the roundness it has, it's just too soft for the vinyl look IMO.
now, add a CF lip and i will reassess what you have there, but until then it just looks like you're missing the middle of your bumper.
constructive criticism.

agree... not really feeling it as is, but probably look 100x better with a cf lip.
