What could this be?

Hey guys,

I've been noticing that when i drive i hear a weird noise. I'm not sure if it's coming from the back or front. It's a whining sounds. It happens from 40-45 and from 70-75. Could this be a wheel bearing? Sounds like the tire of lifted trucks..but not as intense. Any clues? Wheels bearing? tie-rod?

On a different note...any 550 guys can chime in on this next Q. When i'm cursing in D and i give a bit of gas, when the car accelerates without downshifting(cuz im not giving that much gas) the steering wheels/wheels vibrate from like 1500-1800rpm, is this due to the tq we have, or is there something wrong here too?

sumtingwongbro.

in all seriousness, you shouldnt vibrate under acceleration. the two issues you're having are probably tied to each other, i would deffinately count on the bearings for possibilities. have you changed them yet? that's the first thing i did to my car.

Got it checked out. Rear Diff is gone. Getting a new one, only downfall is that the parts must come from Germany so no car for a week
