What do you besides fiddle with your car?

I have always wanted to learn how to play the guitar, just never really got into it.
I (when not messing with the car) am usually either fixing a friend's car, doing side car work for $, working on the jeep, making stuff in the shop, making the shop better whenever possible, fixing stuff on my house/yard, hanging out w/ my ex long enough to sleep with her, scheming some sort of business plan. I'm pretty ADD, I always have about 20 projects going on at any given time.

His mama. Traded y0 mama in because she was squeaking.
It's the 21st Century! Have you heard of MOSFET Transistors?
Vacuum tubes... please.
Next you're gonna show us your 1940 Black and white TV.
Now, I understand why audiophiles prefer tubes over transistors, I'm just ribbing ya. Looks like a nice set-up.

no this is Woo Audio GES headphone amplifier (for electrostatic headphones). Once we got kids I moved to headphone audio from speakers as it gives me more flexibility when to listen. Its also much more affordable then a comparable speaker rig. Well relatively speaking but for under 10k you can blow away most other setups. Also no need for a dedicated listening room.
In the other pic you can make out Ray Samuels Audio Raptor for dynamic headphones. Its the little 3 tube amp next to the big one.

Happy to give you some suggestions, as for the speakers I sold of most speaker gear when I moved to headphones, these are left over Acoustic Research S40 that I got many years ago but they sound surprisingly well when driven by good amps considering the crappy acoustics in that room.

I would not call myself an audiophile, just like good music reproduction
I went threw a dozen amps, most solid state but then got the taste of good tubes and there was no going back. The 'modern' well designed tube amps can be very highfi, and the tubes give you very organic life like sound thats very addictive.
