Taking all of the door panel off seemed like too much work lol.. so i didnt take it off.. I just did it very carefully and used a very sharp blade to cut it.

If you mean the center console then its easy. Pop up the shift boot, then the surround clips out. The ashtray has two clips then you can pull it out. There are two screw that hold the bottom of the 'controls' surround, once these are out it simply clips out too.

If you meant the trim on the doors... I have no idea lol.

Yeah exactly what he is saying. The two screws are torx, so you need a torx set. I forget the exact size but its pretty standard.

Yeah so after you take the ashtray out (2 clips on either side hold it in) there are two torx screws under that trim piece ( 1 in each corner). Once you take out the screws, the whole thing just pops out.

Why not? I'm not trying to be cheeky if any mod is reading this, but I simply don't understand any logical reason as to why a D.I.Y cannot be posted. Isn't that a major purpose of these forums; for members to help each other out? No one is linking to suppliers that are not sponsors here...

Because the DIY is on another forum. I'm not allowed to link to another forum. I was already suspended for it once.

Is there a sub-section specifically for W209's?
