There is a replica wheel at www.oemwheelsplus.com that looks pretty close. The mb514
I just got it in 18"s, staggered
I put 225/45's and 255/35's as I didnt want any rubbing issues.
I needed 5 mm spacers in the front because of the 35et, and i put 10m spacers in the back (H&R) for looks.
With that set up, I still needed shorter bolts in the rear to clear the e-brake. The stock wheels have ball seat bolts... these wheels also require ball seats.
It took me quite a while of lurking on the boards, reading multiple posts, but still having a wheel/tire shop that was professional and helpful is a must. On paper, with a 10mm spacer in back, I dont think I should have needed shorter bolts, but I did.

G500, CLK500
good catch... 225/40's up front
Got the Conti Extreme DWS and I cant get them to break loose. Not sure if its the extra weight of the 18's or the stickyness of the tire.

I just saw this Forum Sponsor with incredible deals on just exactly what I'm looking for:

Has anyone bought from them?

clk 500 (wifey's); 350Z roadster (daily driver); 350Z coupe (track car)
Just one more comment - changing up to 18's (or 19's for that matter) will NOT achieve that goal. In fact, going with a larger diameter wheel will have the effect of making that fender gap look even worse!!!!!

2006 Facelift CLK500 Cab-
Because you will have less sidewall and more rim therefore making the fender well appear larger. With larger rims/smaller tires they retain the same diameter

I guess that would be true if you stick with a combo that results in the same diameter. And if you don't, then you screw up your speedometer accuracy and slow your acceleration by essentially raising the gear ratio.

And you HAVE talked me into sticking with 17's. The tires are low profile enough the way they are. And I really like the ride and handling. Thanks. I guess I'm just not a real GANSTA

My wheels finally showed up. They look pretty great. Tires came in a while back. Now my only problem is the car isn't big enough to get them to the garage. I think I'm going to get the rest of the wear out of the current set up before I switch out. I think. That will be hard to do, because I can't wait to seem them on the car. Then it will be "finished". No, really. Really.

It's a good looking fake. ![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
A friend of mine came to the office one day with a new watch and was showing it off. He called it a "Polex" because it was a total rip off. It was a dead ringer and actually said "Rolex". $10.

What is the widest rear set up for an 2009 CLK550 with lowering the car? Using a 19" wheel

i have 18" & running DWS 275/35-18 in rear. No rubbing but the felt lining of the rear wheel wells was curling at the edges (& possibly rubbing on the tires) so I screwed (attached) the felt lining of the rear wheel wells to the body - I used 3/4" self tapping screws - took about 30 seconds to do w/ wheels off.

I have a 2005 Mercedes Benz CLK550 and I have 19x8.5 (F) and 19x9.5 (R). The offset ended up being an issue for the front and is hitting my brakes that's not allowing me to drive. I've done researcha and I'm in the process of buying hubcentic spacers, but I'm stuck on deciding between a 10mm or 16mm. Any one have any opinions on what's best?
