My next door neighbor just bought a black, convertible hardtop version of the Z4. It's about the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, especially the interior. BTW, she is a woman over 60.

So are we in trouble now?

As to the shape, maybe I take that back:

Great post. Thanks.

i've always liked how the coupe looks with the windows down. ever since the w209 came out, i've wanted one. they're not as common as the 3 series. so once my bro bought one, i was drooling like crazy. he got tired of it after 2 months, so i bought it off him with only 55xxx km.
i keep wanting to trade it in, because we've had way too many problems with it, but my fiancee loves the clk too much so we'll probably always keep this benz...

2003 CLK 500
I got mine because it just FITS me. I've known that I wanted a MB as my next car but for a while I couldn't figure out what model. I knew I wanted something a lil smaller than my previous car (Chevy Impala) with 2 doors preferably. My Step-Dad has an 03 S-500 and my mom has a 99 SLK 230 kompressor. After test driving both I knew something like the S-5 was gonna be bigger than I wanted so I was leaning toward the SLK but it just seemed too small and something I would have to sell once I had kids. Then I thought about the C and CLK classes but the C-Classes just didn't do it for me when I went into a dealer to test drive but the CLK was perfect. I even caught a glimpse of my reflection and even loved the look of me getting out of it.

CLK
New member here. I bought one of the last new CLKs in April of 2010, a 2009-550. I have access to a nice discount through an Audi dealer and was looking hard at a S-4 or S-5. I took an afternoon to visit Audi, BMW and Mercedes. Although I loved the look of the S-5, the S-4 actually performed better, but both interiors didn’t do much for me. Off to BMW, tried two three series in the same price range, nice but nothing that hit me as “I got to have it”. Last stop Mercedes. Drove a 2010 C-350, not too impressed. Then drove a 2010 E-550, liked it, but quite expensive. Then the salesman says, “we have an older 550 with a $12K discount, you should try”. I loved the CLK interior. The CLK seemed to me to handle a bit better than the E-550, although to be fair the E was a 4 door. I really loved the CLK, they had two and one was black on black with burl wood trim and navigation, essentially what I would have ordered if I had the chance. Although I wasn’t familiar with the CLK before visiting the dealer, it was instant attraction. I ended up getting over 15K off sticker and a few other incentives and the next day I drove it home. I love this car, best car I’ve ever owned. For me it has the best combination of performance and luxury. I’ve had it over a year now and simply love this car, although I was surprised that I needed 4 new tires after only one year and 12K miles.
