CLK 320 2005
Red face Xenon Headlights: Both off!!!

Recently my CLK 320 2005 -W209- suffered that the left, and three days later, the right xenon lights, went off. The MB garage diagnosed that will have to replace both Control Units (ballast) -part number 2038209385-. Thay are very expensive at MB. Would you people recommend any site I could buy the units online. Many Thanks. Mike

i think they are broken. and you should just remove them and sell to me for a low price of 300 since they are junk anyways. lol

nah. try aftermarket ballasts and bulbs? do a search "ballasts" would be key. and welcome to the forum.

if oyu have stock xenon assembly it wont be as easy as to get an after market ballast.
OEM ballast are different then after market. Connectors wont match.
I have been trying to go with an after market set on my xenons but have yet to find a way to make the connections

hmm i guess the answer isnt as easy as i thought.

i figured it was just a d2s bulb change out attaching the bulb to aftermarket ballasts and then that to the wiring of the current car. check with HIDextra forum sponsor? they might have some insight to this problem?

lol taking a stab in the dark there

EDIT: OT but my post count spells 1337 LOL =D
